1⃣️ government中间的 n 不要忘记;

Government should spend money on the construction of new buildings rather than on the preservation of old buildings.

Some people believe that governments should spend on new public buildings, such as libraries and museums, rather than renovating old buildings. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

If governments allow private companies to build pubic works like a power plant, and then operate it a decade or two before transferring ownership to the government, everyone benefits. (TPO 45 Conversation 2)

But was it any way to run a government?(TPO 17 Lecture 3)

The government has pledged to support these local schemes in the future. The government have been struggling to come to an agreement on this matter.

The committee is meeting this Friday to discuss the issue.The committee have different opinions on this matter.

As a result, the French government sponsored a competition in 1824 to find a cheaper way to make ultramarine pigment.But the first attempt the United States government made, you know, to support the arts was the Federal Art Project.

5⃣️ administration 可以作为 government 的一个近义词,但在美国,government 其实包括三个分支:行政部门(the executive branch,即administration)、立法部门(the legislative branch,即国会Congress)和司法部门(the judiciary branch)。所以我们在说“美国政府”时一般指的是它的行政部门,即 Administration,比如 the Biden Administration,而不说 the Biden government;

政府支持 | government/governmental support

政府给艺术的资金 | government funding of the arts
